About the Hosts

Jamie

Jamie (aka [GF]Burke from online FPS) started in RC Christmas of 06. PiccoZ did it. Now he enjoys flying mild helicopters and planes. Learning more everyday. A motor head before RC, Jamie spent his time at the racing track and bringing home trophies in his mustang. The tech guy of the tech guys keeps him busy, yet he is a bit green in RC still. Noted in The New York Times for his computer work, Jamie's other hobbies/passions is home theater. Visit his personal site.

Chris

Chris, aka "JustPlaneChris", has been involved in the RC hobby since 1980. He's flown just about everything, ranging from sailplanes to giant scale, and helicopters too. His fleet has been all-electric since the mid-90's but that doesn't mean he won't eventually add a "slimer" back to the mix someday. In addition to flying RC toys, Chris is a licensed pilot of full scale aircraft (PPSEL + glider rating) and enjoys ballroom dancing with his wife "JustPlaneLiz". You can drop by their personal site to see what they're up to.

Diggs

Doug - Known online as Diggs. Name was a carry over from his many years of
online gaming. Former Quake II/III, Counter Strike junky was lost to an
online gaming world that contained little honor or sportsmanship. Having
purchased several Picco Z micro helicopters for Christmas gifts in 2006, he
decided to also purchase one for himself. On the first day of flying he knew
he wanted more. He located RC Groups and decided on an E-Flite Blade CX2. He
fell prey to the heli crack and bought many. He also located a new community
where almost everyone respected each other and were eager to help the new
guy.

While in the learning stages he received some great advice from online
friend Red Herring to try a simple trainer plane for help with orientation.
Realizing this was a much more relaxed way to fly, in addition to fewer
repairs, his fixed wing crack addiction overcame the heli crack. May of 2007
was the start of the fixed wing flying addiction and it remains firmly in
place till this day. He likes all styles of flying. From flying delta wings
at blistering fast speeds to taking a slow stick to high altitudes and
watching it slowly glide back home for a few touch and go's. He aspires to
be a great 3D pilot while hoping someday to return to piloting a heli.

His fleet is fairly large, consisting of about 25 electric planes. He has
been very tempted to try a large glow plane, but has yet to do so. He jumped
on the 2.4GHz bandwagon while still flying the CX2 and Esky Honeybee FP.
After he attended SEFF in 2007, he plans on making it an annual event. He
loves being one of the hosts of allthingsthatfly.com podcast, and hopes to
provide some entertainment along with a little knowledge to his fellow
RC'er.
